So I am starting a new motivational plan for myself. Every month I am going to learn something new. So this month it is knitting. I have picked out a couple of beginner patterns off of Lion Brand: a scarf pattern and a placemat pattern. As a beginner to this craft I went ahead and ordered yarn and needles from Lion Brand. I did choose another type of yarn than the suggested yarn with the pattern, but from what I can tell it will only make the scarf a little more narrow which is fine with me. After some thought I think I will start with the scarf first. So on my journey in learning to knit, I will post my progress.

I Want to Learn How to....Knit

In Search for the Right Path
I have been feeling rather lost for a long time. This may be the reason why I have a fascination for photographing pathways of all sorts. Trails, boardwalks, paths, roadways, etc. Part of my pathway passion may be the idea of adventure or it may be the desire to have an already beaten path to reach a destination. While those two ideas seem to contradict each other since adventure rarely has a set path, they make sense to me. In lieu of finding a pathway for my life I will post a pathway photo on every third weekend of the month.
The first image is of the Rainbow Falls trail in the Great Smoky Mountains.

My Podcast Addiction
Since I discovered the world of podcasts, I have become addicted. Part of this addiction comes from my love of talk radio. Part of it comes from the fact that my job can be rather tedious, and a good podcast helps my day go by faster. Since my husband gave me an ipod this past Christmas I have subscribed to 23 podcasts and currently have amassed almost 11.5GB of episodes. Among all the photos and other crap on my computer, my podcast obsession has left only about 800MB of space left. The real problem with this addiction is that I listen to between 5-6 hours of podcasts every day and the amount of episodes on my computer never seems to lessen. Actually every week the space left on my computer seems to get smaller. But they say the first step is to admit you have a problem.

And Thus It Begins..
Well like all those before me, I have joined the ranks of the bloggers. I have so many interests and so much I want to do, but often life just takes over. So this is my way to document all the eclectic things in my life. In other words to inspire and motivate me.
